An Example in the Theory of Spectral and Well - Bounded Operators

چکیده
An example is given of a linear transformation which defines a wellbounded operator on LP[O, 1 J for 1 :::; p:::; oo. It is shown that the properties of the decomposition of the identity associated with this operator (and consequently the type of functional calculus that the operator admits) vary markedly depending on the domain space.

Asymptotic distribution of eigenvalues of the elliptic operator system
Since the theory of spectral properties of non-self-accession differential operators on Sobolev spaces is an important field in mathematics, therefore, different techniques are used to study them. In this paper, two types of non-self-accession differential operators on Sobolev spaces are considered and their spectral properties are investigated with two different and new techniques.
متن کاملJoint and Generalized Spectral Radius of Upper Triangular Matrices with Entries in a Unital Banach Algebra
In this paper, we discuss some properties of joint spectral {radius(jsr)} and generalized spectral radius(gsr) for a finite set of upper triangular matrices with entries in a Banach algebra and represent relation between geometric and joint/generalized spectral radius. Some of these are in scalar matrices, but some are different. For example for a bounded set of scalar matrices,$Sigma$, $r_*...
متن کاملOn the analytic properties of intertwining operators I: global normalizing factors
We provide a uniform estimate for the $L^1$-norm (over any interval of bounded length) of the logarithmic derivatives of global normalizing factors associated to intertwining operators for the following reductive groups over number fields: inner forms of $operatorname{GL}(n)$; quasi-split classical groups and their similitude groups; the exceptional group $G_2$. This estimate is a key in...
متن کاملRemarks on the Spectrum of Bounded and Normal Operators on Hilbert Spaces
Let H be a complex Hilbert space H . Let T be a bounded opertor on H , and let λ be a scalar. We set Tλ := T − λI . We introduce the concept of Tλ−spectral sequence in order to discuss the nature of λ when λ belongs to the spectrum of T. This concept is used to make new proofs of some classical and well-known results from general spectral theory. This concept is also used to give a new classifi...
متن کاملStability of essential spectra of bounded linear operators
In this paper, we show the stability of Gustafson, Weidmann, Kato, Wolf, Schechter and Browder essential spectrum of bounded linear operators on Banach spaces which remain invariant under additive perturbations belonging to a broad classes of operators $U$ such $gamma(U^m)
